Good Dog Design: Greyhound Lamp

find it here
Greyhound lovers unite! At least, you're probably going to have to unite to buy this lamp 'cuz it costs $650 or so we hear.   Maybe I will search for a Westie lamp this afternoon.  The greyhound lamp looks so cool and sleek and likely for a contemporary house.  What kind of house do you think a Westie lamp would go into?  A scruffy barn perhaps? English Cottage?  Scotish Hunting Lodge?

Gifts for Pet Lovers: Pottery Barn Dog Banks

Well, I know if I was in one of my really spunky moods, I would be able to come up with the ideal comment about how piggy banks have gone to the dogs.

But we're just gonna have to skip that for this round ...

Anywoof, look what we found when we were looking for a new dog bed bed cover on the Pottery Barn website.

We think these would make great gifts for your pet loving friends and family.  (Unless you want to get them something from The Puperie, which we, of course, think would be an even better idea!)  And, leave it to PB to add those special touches ... you can monogram the dog tag if you'd like!

Better check them out straightaway (big word alert!) because they are on sale and sure to go fast.

Soda Crate Dog Beds

Well, by now I think it's pretty clear to everybody that I SLEEP IN A PLASTIC TUB.

Have I worked that "woe is me" angle enough lately????

Anywoof, while Mom was gone the other day I started pondering the whole tub thing and, you know, I did what any dog blgger worth his weight in kibble would do .... put my paws on the keyboard and googled it.

We really saw them first here.

Look what I found .... a different definition of "tub" that I think my mom might actually go for in our house:

Check it out .... a dog bed made from an old soda crate.

Head thunk with paw ... why didn't WE think of that????????

It comes in Pepsi too, but does anybody besides me think we ought to keep mom decaffeinated???

Check them out here.

Lost Keys? Let the dog fetch them!

We saw it here.

Now here is a product we think we'd really like to get our hands on ... this dog shaped keychain is designed to fetch your keys for you. According to the website, all you do is whistle and it sets off the alarm in the keychain and the dog's nose starts flashing, theoretically guiding you to your keys.

Dad, pretty sure this is gonna end up on Mom's list, so you might as well know that you can find it here.

Feel Good Friday: Gifts for Pet Lovers

find them here

Allow us to introduce Ruff Ride ... they take photos of puppers and add commentary regarding the current economy with the intent of making us all laugh a bit about it.  Their motto is "laughter is the best medicine."  And laugh, we did!  Nearly pee'd on my puppy pad I was laughing so hard.  You know that snorty kind of bark-gurgle thing we do when we get tickled.  Oh, come on, yes you do too know what I am talking about.

Anywoof, they aren't just funny over there, they are charitable too.  Realizing that pups are losing their homes along with their people, they donate a portion of their sales to organizations that help re-home the homeless ones.

Nope, we got nothing for talking about them, just a coupla really good belly laughs :)

Oh, and maybe some Christmas present ideas!

Good Dog Design: Repurposing for dog lovers

Put your paws together for repurposing at it's finest!!!  Look at these puppers we found on etsy.  If you're into vintage and the like, we think you'll love this find as much as we do.

The one on the right is KIKI and check out her feet ... roller skate wheels ... quite a set of legs on that girl :)

Here's some more of her details:

measures: 12.5" tall, 7" wide and 12" long

Vintage English tins form the body and head
Antique French opera glass parts are the eyes
Signed and dated underneath

EVERY time my mom takes the Puperie on the road to an event the last words she hears my dad saying on the way out are "Don't bring home a dog!!!" Perhaps he'd let her have one of these?????
