Good Dog Design ... or not??

Add caption

Ok, this one is either really, really clever, or really, really not.

This "toy" is designed to protect your chair and table legs by covering them with something safer for your pup to chew on.

We love the idea and we love the design.

But, knowing how I operate, I am POSITIVE that I would get all excited and start chewing on an UNPROTECTED chair leg and think it was OK.  As smart as I like to think I am, I am pretty sure this one has major dog house potential for me.

Knowing some of you out there are way smarter than me (here's your chance, poodles!!), I 'd like to know what you think ?????

Do I need to slim down a bit??

Over the weekend I had to go to the vet to get a shot of something icky up my nose.

Bordatella vaccines are the downside of getting to go to camp -- they demand you have it twice a year.

Small price to pay I suppose.

BUT, while I was at the vet I did a little weigh in and I am up a couple of pounds.

Dr. Knows-it-All apparently thinks I need to trim a few pounds.

I disagree.

So I called together a forum (see above) to study the issue and come up with a consensus.

To skip a treat or two or not?

And the answer is:  I am just fine as I am, thank you very much.

But you already knew that, didn't you!

Flashback Friday

A.)  It is hard to imagine that I was ever that tiny.

B.)  I should have known from that first day that mom was going to make me wear all sorts of things around my neck.

C.)  Cute, yes??

Needed: New Dog Mobile

So, I am gearing up to help mom get a new dog mobile.

My dad is thinking we need a Mini Cooper, so I took one out for a little test drive yesterday afternoon.

I'm not sure it's really me.

What do you think????

Good Dog Design

Source

I don't know about your Mom, but my Mom has a real thing for handbags.

Especially totes.

I am kind of thinking that maybe I should get her this one for Mother's Day.  You know, that dog on there, although it is not a Westie, would make her think about me ALL THE TIME!!!!

If you click here, you can go to the Blue Blood Living website and see some others that they've got which are also very cool.  They are reversible even.

Yep, think I am going to have to get my mom one of these.  Anybody got a credit card I can borrow???

Belated Happy St Paddy's Day!

Did everybody get to go out and celebrate St. Paddy's on Saturday?

Anybody end up with a green tail???

As for me ... I was all dressed up with no place to go.

My parents had the nerve to go out and celebrate WITHOUT me.

Go figure.

The nerve.

Geesh.

Good Dog Design: Treat Jar

Source

Look at this great treat jar my mom found on etsy while she was shopping there when she was supposed to be getting her tax information ready for my dad.  Isn't it great!!!!

You can find it here at Countertop Couture.  It's hand painted and hand embellished and we think it would be pretty cool to have a fancy smancy treat jar that's not like everybody else's sitting on our countertop!

That made me hungry ... gonna sign off and go find some snacks!

Rewind Friday

For those of you who are new readers, we thought you'd like to see how cute I was as a wee little Westie.  Ohhhhhh, those were the days!!  Life was good --- it was all about ME there for a while.  Other than not liking being contained in any way at all EVER, I was a pretty easy puppy, or at least that is the way I remember it!

Big Shoes to Fill

Some of you may know that there was another Westie in the house before me.

Yes, there was a "Starter Westie" in the house.

And still they got another one ???

His name was Max and he was loved by all.  They called him The Ambassador in the neighborhood because he was one of those pups who knew everybody.  There was no such thing as a quick walk with Max, because he had to go out twice a day and catch up with every dog and every person in the entire neighborhood.

He's a tough act to follow, I tell you.  But I must be doing something right, because this weekend I got to start wearing his collar.  Max was a big boy and I am a little on the smaller side, so my dad had to do some adjusting to it, but I think I wear it pretty well, don't you?

Sign me,

Proud to be his brother!

It was worth the wait!!!

Here are a few shots from the Westie Rescue Early St. Patrick's Day walk we (finally!) did yesterday.  I have added a little commentary as necessary.  It was sooooo worth the wait!!!

Here I am ... looking very dapper, if I do say so myself!!!

Right off the bat I met a girl.  Her name was Sophie!!!

This man had FIVE Westies.  My mom would freak out!!

Yep.  That's right.  There were lots of green tails!

Party Crasher!!!

After the walk, I had to lie down for a bit!!

These people know how to throw a good party.  I can't wait for the annual picnic!!!

Imagine my Disappointment!!

VERY CUTE WHITE DOG SEEKING MORE ORGANIZED ASSISTANT:

Oh, the sadness.

You can't even begin to imagine.

I was READY TO GO.

I even got a haircut yesterday.

You see, today was supposed to be the Early St. Patrick's Day Westie Rescue Walk in the Park.

But, after getting all of us dressed in green, when my mom went to print out the directions in the park, she realized the walk is TOMORROW.

Geesh, good help is so hard to find these days.

Now how are they going to entertain me all day???????

Happy Birthday Nick!

Happy Birthday to our favorite Nephew.

You're handsome.

You're fun.

You love dogs.

How about you come on down and we'll play some ball.  Maybe enjoy a few treats??

Oh, wait.  That would be what we would do for MY birthday, not yours.

Hmmm.

How about you do whatever YOU want ... and have a GREAT day.

Your Southern California Fan Club is wishing you the best birthday EVER.

Four paws up for Nick, everybody!!!
