So the other day Mom is climbing over my comfortably lounging self as she gets out of the shower and she stops midway out and gives me funny look. You know, the crinkly face "I am having a thought ..." look.
Duncan, she said. Allow me to introduce you to the concept of a bath mat. It's this thing humans put beside the shower so when they get out they don't drip all over the floor or create puddles on the floor they might slip in. It is rectangular, kind of soft like a towel ....
She then gives me the "do you know what I mean? .... " look. And she kept staring at me with one eyebrow raised. (Botox must be wearing off since she could actually do that ....)
So, naturally, being the polite pupper that I am, I refrained from stating the obvious to my dripping water all over the place mom, ie, "Duh, mom. You are standing there dripping all over the place so why haven't you already gotten one????" and instead said, "Gee, Mom, sounds like a good idea."
She then made a face I was unable to interpret.
Moms and their facial expressions. Sigh ....

An adventure worth peeing on ... cheers!
So the other day Mom and I headed out on a little adventure. There was a new trail opening and Mom thought it would be a good idea to check it out since we could get a combination of exercise and history. We're multi-taskers like that.
We got off to a bit of a rocky start. Or rather, Mom thought it was rocky. I actually thought it was HILARIOUS. You see, Mom is not a big fan of bridges, so I decided right on top of one that I needed a break. A long, stubborn, plant your butt in the cement and refuse to move kind of break. Once Mom started to sweat I actually started to feel sorry for her so we moved on.
So I could make her sweat again:
In the end, it was hard to tell who needed a cocktail more!

YAY for mom being really, really busy!!!!!
Listen, puppers. I can work the "woeza is me" card better than most.
And, trust me when I say, I have REALLY been working it these past couple of months while mom has been superneglectful of my blog and therefore my importanceness busy.
Truth be told though, there is an upside to the peeps being preoccupied with their owngreatness stuff.
Note to puppers: If you really really REALLY make them crazy while they are trying to get something done, they will give you a really big GIANT treat to occupy you for a while.
HAHAHAHAHA. Score one for us, puppers. Score one for us!!!

More "out with the old"
So, as a part of the major clean up in process around here (which she says is the reason we are not blogging much, by the way) I got a new bed.
I am sorry to say, since she has already paid for it and all, that I don't really like it. There is NO stink to it. I mean, I look really good in it and all, but it just isn't perfectly seasoned like my old one is.

Happy Birthday Aunty Karen!!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNTY KAREN!!
I knew from the moment I met you that we were going to be best friends. We're a match made in heaven, don't you think?
Thanks for being the emergency phone number when mom and dad are out of town. I always know you will come for me!
Thanks for teaching me how to rip open a gift bag like the best of them -- I can always get to the good stuff fast.
Thanks for sneaking me treats and letting me sit at the table when you come to visit. Will you be back soon?
Thanks for reminding my mom for me that there is no such thing as doing too much to keep me happy.
Love you and wish you many, many treats on your special day!!
Duncan
