All balls are not created equal

We got a break from the rain today so we hit the trail.  Or rather, we hid the grove, if you will.

I know you people showing pictures of snow, snow, snow will not believe it, but our citrus trees are blooming away right now.

Mom and I were talking while we were walking and we don't think in all the years we have lived here there have been this many lemons at one time on the trees in the grove.

There were a couple of lemons on the ground so Mom kicked one and I chased it just as I always do something round and yellow.  But when I grabbed it this time, I realized that not all balls are created equal.  Icky icky sour sour sour.  Plus I smelled all sweet and delicious instead of dirty and slimed all over like I do with my tennis balls.

Lesson learned, puppers.

Beware.   Not all balls are created equal!!!!

  1. I have been promised there is no danger of encountering a grove of lemon trees in Northern Scotland, more's the pity.

  3. We'll have to remember that. We have a lemon tree that hangs over our back fence...it's really the neighbour's tree. It's nearly empty now.
