All balls are not created equal

We got a break from the rain today so we hit the trail.  Or rather, we hid the grove, if you will.
I know you people showing pictures of snow, snow, snow will not believe it, but our citrus trees are blooming away right now.
Mom and I were talking while we were walking and we don't think in all the years we have lived here there have been this many lemons at one time on the trees in the grove.
There were a couple of lemons on the ground so Mom kicked one and I chased it just as I always do something round and yellow.  But when I grabbed it this time, I realized that not all balls are created equal.  Icky icky sour sour sour.  Plus I smelled all sweet and delicious instead of dirty and slimed all over like I do with my tennis balls.
Lesson learned, puppers.
Beware.   Not all balls are created equal!!!!

  1. I have been promised there is no danger of encountering a grove of lemon trees in Northern Scotland, more's the pity.
    Toodle pip!

  2. No lemon trees here and if there was you couldn't find them for all the snow!

    Your Snowy pals,

    Murphy & Stanley

  3. We'll have to remember that. We have a lemon tree that hangs over our back fence...it's really the neighbour's tree. It's nearly empty now.

    XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy

  4. What a dirty trick to grab a lemon instead of your tennis ball, Duncan!

    Love ya lots,
    Mitch and Molly

  5. Hummmmm, never seen a lemom tree, so I think we are safe from the sour stuff!

  6. Oh, that is funny Duncan! What an imposter! I'm sure your Moms liked the lemon trick, butts us pups like the stinky smelly tennis balls! Note to self: smell before you bite.

  7. Hehe, my uncle Fergus used to love playing with tennis balls when he was a young lad.
