Flashback Friday - the day they met me!

My mom is a little PANICKED right now because she can't find all of my old puppy pictures.

So much for getting organized in the New Year.

Apparently NOT.

Anywoof, she did run across this grainy lovely photo from the day they met me.

Mom had seen me on an earlier visit but only as part of a puppy pile up in a basket with my siblings.

This was the first time we had a one on one visit.

Clearly, it went well!

I know you're all wondering ..

After yesterday's post I know you are wondering what could possibly be more important to my mom than moi, so I'll just come right out and say it, as embarrassing as it is.  We have She has an American Idol addiction.  The woman just can't stop watching it.  Night after night, we watch new episodes, recorded episodes, episodes we've already watched.  Note to self: see if she can type while watching an episode we have already watched ten times?

Perhaps it is because she can't carry a tune herself?

Heaven help me, we are only in the auditions phase of this season.  We aren't even in Hollywood yet.

Ay yi yi, puppers.

It's gonna be a long one.

I see no reason to get out of bed then ...

Listen.  If we aren't going to blog (Mom!) I don't really see any reason to get out of bed.

She hasn't even been available for posting Wordless Wednesday blogs.

Wordless.  Get it?

No time involved.

Insert Photo. Enter. Drag Mouse. Enter.

Bing, bang, bam.

Done.

Easy as that.

But no, we can't even make that happen.

It's sad, puppers.  It's sad.

Here's to hoping this post will finally guilt her back into MAKING ME THE PRIORITY, as it should be.

Why, it was lovely, thank you!

Well, since you asked, my birthday was excellent, thank you very much!  It was full of bags of tissue to shred, treats and other pressies.

It. Was. Awesome.

A couple of you have asked about the pupcake.  No, it was not as pretty as the ones for my human co-celebrators.  Butt, I dare say, mine was more delicious.  It was a decadent three layer treat made with my regular old dry food, enhanced with a couple of scoops of the stinkiest best wet food from a CAN, and the "candle" was made of one of my favorite Trader Joe's chicken treats.

And, since we missed (ugh, mom!) the time warp photo day earlier this week, here is a little photo of me 4 years ago, when I was not so grown up as I am today!

Life is good, puppers.
Life is good!

Happy Birthday to you and you and ME!

Oh, boy puppers.  It's a week full of birthdays!

Happy Birthday to you (MLN) and you (KAN) and me (moi)!

I think it's obvious which pupcake is mine ...

May our days be filled with treats this week!

Fool me once ....

Listen, puppers.  I like camp as much as the next dog, but I gotta tell you, what I really love is being home with my people.  ALL of my people.

So, when I walked into the bedroom and saw a suitcase out it is entirely possible that I panicked I very calmly activated my kill them with cuteness anti-packing technique:

When it became necessary, I implemented Phase 2:

Hey, it could have been worse.  I only laid on the clothes.  Just saying ...

Anyhoo, it turns out that I had walked in mid-unpacking, not re-packing, but my techniques were so refined cute that my mom let me go through my processes just so she could get some pictures.

Feel free to use the technique as needed, puppers.  I find sitting in the suitcase looking all "woe is me" to be particularly effective.

Feliz Ano Nuevo, Grrrrrrr, whatever

So my mom and dad deserted me dropped me off at puppy camp the other day and didn't come back for me FUREVER!!!  I'll admit, I had a blast at camp because there were LOTS of us there who had been abandoned for the holidays, but, just between you and me, I am going to work the "How Dare You??" angle for at least a few more days.

To rub it in, Mom said there were dogs everywhere.  I thought it would have made her miss me, but apparently there were so many friendly pups everywhere, she hardly had a thought about my well-being the entire time she was gone.

There were, in fact, so many pups all around she said she could have taken the photos for a coffee table book called "The Dogs of Costa Rica" all in one day.  Here are a few pics she took in one quick walk around town:

Guard Pup ...
Chillxing in the park

C.U.T.E

Waiting pup ...

Lounging ...

Smart pups, these two befriended the Police!

Hey, I think I got a mosquito in my ear ..
Bar pup (and apparently Mom's favorite ... geesh!)
Mom noted that most of the dogs were cruising around without leashes except for terriers (who moi??) who run away tendencies must know no international bounds!

Hope your new year is off to an adventurous start, puppers!
